Our Environmental Commitment

At Salad Cosmo U.S.A. Corp, we are fully committed to reducing our environmental impact. Our dedication to sustainability is reflected in our packaging, which is largely made of recyclable materials. Additionally, we send returned sprouts and waste products to local cattle ranches as cattle-feed, promoting a circular economy. Our wastewater is recycled to irrigate fields on our land and is closely monitored for quality assurance, ensuring it meets the State of California's requirements.

We take pride in our extensive record-keeping system that enables us to quickly trace each bag of sprouts throughout the production and growth phases at our facility to the store of purchase, guaranteeing top-notch quality control. Our hope is that this information reassures you and builds your confidence in the safety and freshness of our sprouts. If you have any comments or require further information about our quality control program, please do not hesitate to contact us. We look forward to hearing from you.

– Are the bean sprouts from Salad Cosmo safe?
Salad Cosmo starts with the highest quality seeds that have been selected and extensively tested by the seed supplier. Nevertheless, we test every arriving bag of seed for E. coli, Salmonella and Listeria and do not use the seed until the test results return. If the sample from a single bag is found to be positive for any pathogen, then the entire seed lot is rejected and not used for sprouts. After the sprouting process has begun, the spent irrigation water from each and every lot of sprouts is sent to a third company lab for additional testing. Only after the test results have been received are the sprouts released for shipment from our facility. We maintain a comprehensive program of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and follow FDA’s strict guidelines. We do all of this so that you can buy Salad Cosmo sprouts with the confidence that you are buying safety achieved through one of the strongest food safety programs in the industry.
